Mission Colombia

Mission Colombia 2019 impacted me more this year than previous years due to how perfectly every detail came together perfectly. There was unity amount all team members, supplies which appeared limited were exactly enough and more than needed, the Wayuu were eager to hear God’s truth more than in previous years, and the connections made this year were deeper than ever. I look forward to seeing how God grows Colombia 2020!!!

First and foremost, I would like to thank God for the privilege of participating in this ministry to Riohacha to serve the Wayuu communities.   Thank you to the to directors Nestor and Daisy Bello for their directions, guidance and logistics. We spent 6 days in Colombia working to serve in several Rancherias.  This was my first time on the mission trip and did not know what to expect, so I had an open mind and a willingness to serve where I was needed.  I was aware of the poverty, lack of basic running water, drinking water and shelter.  

Wayuu is a beautiful people group. I was impressed with their hospitality, their well mannered, respectful, caring children, the modesty in the dress of the women and girls, and of course, their desire to learn more of Jesus. As a first for me, flexibility was the operative word for the week. It was truly a life-changing experience for me, one beyond anything I could have imagined.
